Who Offers WhatsApp Business API in Nepal? (2026 Guide)

The providers a Nepali business can actually buy from, what each one publishes about itself, and how to tell a checkable claim from an adjective.

Dibi Tech ·

WhatsApp Business API in Nepal is offered by Dibi Tech Private Limited — an official Meta Tech Provider in Janakpur, Dhanusha, billing in Nepali rupees — and by Sparrow SMS, Tele Digital, AakashTel and FBIP, alongside international platforms such as Messaggio. This page lists who they are, what each publishes, and how to choose.

Every cell was read off the provider's own website on 13 September 2026. "Not published" means exactly that — it is not a judgement about the provider, only a statement that the information was not on their site when we looked.

What a provider actually gives you that Meta does not

Meta runs the WhatsApp Cloud API and will bill you directly for the messages you send. What it does not give you is anything to send them with. A provider supplies:

  • Onboarding. Connecting your number through Meta's Embedded Signup, getting your business verified and your display name approved.
  • A shared inbox. Several people answering one WhatsApp number, with history that does not live on somebody's phone.
  • Campaigns and templates. Submitting templates for Meta approval and broadcasting to a segmented contact list without hitting rate limits.
  • Automation. Keyword replies, chatbots, and integrations with whatever you already run.
  • Billing that you can read. What each message cost, per conversation, in your own currency.

None of that is Meta's job, which is why "just go direct to Meta" is not usually an answer.

The two arrangements, and why the difference is money

Meta bills whoever owns the WhatsApp Business Account. So either:

  • Meta bills you. Your WABA carries your own payment method and Meta invoices you at its published rate. The provider earns only its software fee. This is the default on every Dibi Tech account.
  • The provider bills you. Their credit line pays Meta and they invoice you per message at their own price. Convenient, and legitimate — but the price is theirs, and usually not published.

You can see what Meta's own rates are, in rupees, on our WhatsApp Business API pricing for Nepal page. Compare any per-message quote you are given against those figures, and you will know immediately what margin you are being asked to pay.

What you need before you start

  1. A registered business — a PAN or VAT registration for a Nepali company.
  2. A phone number that is not currently active on the WhatsApp Business app, and that can receive a verification code once.
  3. A Facebook business portfolio in your business's own name.
  4. A display name that matches the business — Meta rejects names that do not.

Meta then runs business verification. Most of the elapsed time is that review, not your provider's setup, which is why an honest provider will not promise you a launch date that depends on Meta's queue.

The four message types, and which ones cost you money

Meta does not charge for "WhatsApp". It charges per message delivered, and the price depends on what kind of message it is. Understanding the four categories is most of understanding your bill.

  • Marketing. Promotions, offers, re-engagement. The most expensive category and the most tightly policed — recipients must have opted in, and too many blocks or reports will lower your quality rating and then your sending limit.
  • Utility. Order confirmations, delivery updates, appointment reminders, payment receipts. Far cheaper than marketing, and for most Nepali businesses this is where the real value of the API sits.
  • Authentication. One-time passcodes and verification codes. Priced separately, and from Meta's 1 October 2026 revision international authentication becomes a category of its own.
  • Service. A conversation your customer starts. Free today. From the 1 October 2026 cutover Meta charges for these beyond the first 1,000 per phone number per calendar month, priced as a utility message.

The exact figures for Nepal, in rupees, are on our pricing page, including both the current rates and what changes at the cutover. As at 13 September 2026 no other provider in this list publishes them, which is why so many businesses in Nepal budget for WhatsApp using figures quoted in dollars or Indian rupees that do not apply to them.

Three mistakes that cost Nepali businesses time

  1. Using a number that is already on the WhatsApp Business app. A number can be on the app or on the API, not both. Migrating it is possible but it deletes the chat history on the phone, so decide before you start rather than halfway through.
  2. Choosing a display name Meta will reject. The display name has to relate to the registered business. A trading nickname, a slogan, or a generic word like "Support" gets refused, and each refusal restarts a review that takes days.
  3. Sending marketing to a list that never opted in. This is the fastest way to lose the channel. Blocks and "report" taps drop your quality rating, Meta then cuts your daily sending limit, and recovering it is slow. Start with utility messages to customers who are expecting them.

How to choose between them

Ask every provider on your shortlist the same four questions and compare the answers, not the brochures:

  1. Will my business own the WhatsApp Business Account? If not, you cannot leave without losing your number and your approved templates.
  2. Who does Meta bill? This decides whether you pay Meta's rate or theirs.
  3. Which Meta programme are you on, and what is your business portfolio ID? A number can be checked. An adjective cannot. Our credential page shows what a checkable answer looks like, and how to verify one.
  4. What currency is my invoice in? A price in dollars or Indian rupees is not the price you pay.

Where these facts come from

Every statement about another provider on this page was read off that provider's own website on 13 September 2026. Where a provider does not publish something, this page says "Not published" rather than guessing. If we have got something wrong or out of date, tell us and we will correct it.

messaggio.com did not respond when we visited it on 13 September 2026, so nothing is recorded against Messaggio here rather than something unverified.
